Be sure to have the perfect shade for your event or project
One very important detail that was not mentioned in my post on Top 10 Most Easily Forgotten Wedding Details was having the perfect color palette plan for your wedding day. I did this because the perfect color palette is not just important for big events, but also every aspect of your life, including your wardrobe, pops of color, and even wall paint. The colors we choose to incorporate into our lives tell a story; why not be on trend as you tell that story?
The best place to look for new and trending colors for the next few seasons are fashion shows. This year’s major fashion shows for spring and summer are now behind us and have given us some very fun and very earthy colors to play with!
Pinks have always found their place in the spring and summer seasons. This year they have not disappointed with their playful and vibrant feel. From left to right, we have Powder Blanket Pink, Pressed Rose, Sweet Lilac, and Pink Peacock.
Oranges and Reds
Traditionally fall colors, I was pleasantly surprised to find multiple shades of red and orange in the color scheme of early 2019. These colors will be huge in statement pieces or as pops of color. From left to right, we have living coral, turmeric, fiesta, and jester red.
Yellow and pink have the most representatives in the spring and summer collections with 4 each. It is definitely making a come-back as becoming a part of every fashionable person’s closet and/or decor. It brings a unique cheeriness in all of its shades that only yellow can do. From left to right, we have egg-yolk pastel yellow, lemon verbena, aspen gold, and mango mojito.
Greens can be a very controversial topi, but can make a very bold and powerful statement if incorporated in the right way. The greens incorporated this season are very distinctly different colors, yet have complimented many of the other colors included in the palette. From left to right, we have neon green, pepper stem, and terrarium moss.
Purples and Blues
One of the most surprising twists for the spring and summer color palettes is the sparse number of blues and purples include. As a personal lover of both colors, this at first made me sad, but I believe the blues and purples that will be included this season are spot on! From left to right, we have light lavender, clear-water blue, and princess blue.
